I thought it sounded different and good. I don't want to lose it. You can make this weeks in advance and freeze it, then simply place it in the oven 20 minutes before serving time. These need to bake from a frozen state so this is a make ahead which is helpful on holidays! -- posted by Oolalahttp://www.recipezaar.com/291020 Quiche in a Bag (Oamc-Freezer Cooking)- March 6, 2008 This is one of my favorite monthly freezer cooking recipes. So easy and cooks up perfectly every time. It's from the Freezer Cooking Manual, but I tweaked it a little. Can be done in endless variations. My favorite combo is chicken, bacon and spinach with swiss cheese. Also great as a vegetarian meal- just skip the meat and add extra veggies. -- posted by Whatscookinghttp://www.recipezaar.com/290442 Freezer Pops (Popsicles) With Freezer Jam Pectin- March 5, 2008 I bought a popsicle kit on clearance for making popsicles with Ball Fruit Jell Freezer Jam Pectin. It's really easy and uses honey, although you could sub. sugar or Splenda. If using the sugar or Splenda, mix it with the pectin before adding to the fruit puree. Cooking time is freezing time. -- posted by WI Cheeseheadhttp://www.recipezaar.com/290065 Gewurztraminer Peach Sorbet- March 4, 2008 From Canada's Niagara wine region; a perfect summer combination of fresh peaches and a crisp and sweet Ontario Gewurztraminer. You need an ice cream maker to prepare this beautiful summer dessert. You could substitute frozen peaches for fresh, but it is just NOT the same. This sorbet keeps for 1 week in the freezer so you can make it several days ahead for your al fresco summer dinner party. -- posted by Chef Regina V. Smithhttp://www.recipezaar.com/289775 |
