This method of preparing the pate is new to me but since I love chicken livers - we tried it anyway. We were very pleasantly surpirsed! Served with pita chips, cocktail rye or any other crackers it is wonderful! Who needs crackers - it tasted awesome! From Everyday Cooking with Jacques Pépin This originally appeared in the March, 2007 edition of Food & Wine." This silky-smooth pâté is inexpensive and simple to make. Vegetarian Sarmale (Romanian Cabbage Rolls) - June 6, 2008

Sarmale are tradditional Romanian cabbage rolls that are always served at weddings and during Christmas, as well as other occasions or for no occasion at all. My Romanian friend, Carmen, gave me this family recipe that she altered slighty since becoming vegetarian. It can be a lot of work and a little complicated as you first try rollingstuffing the cabbage leaves, but after a little practice you'll get it and the results are fantastic! -- posted by Enjolinfam

Very Easy Raspberry Thumbprint Cookies (Uses Cookie Mix) - June 6, 2008

You can also use apricot or any other flavor jam you desire in making these if raspberry not your thing. Got the recipe from Shoprite website and have been using it ever since. --...

Guatemalan Challah - June 5, 2008

From "A Blessing of Bread" by Maggie Glezer, this is another interesting twist on challah! Challah is the braided or twisted loaf of egg bread served on the Sabbath by Jews around the world, and recipes vary by region. This one is interesting for its use of cardamom. I've added the rising time in to the cooking time, so the total time is from start to finish. -- posted by Susiecat too
