I just got accepted into a summer medical clerkship at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine! I'm rather proud of this achievement, since the merit-based clerkship competition was quite tough, but now that the acceptance letter is in hand, I'm just wicked happy. There was another snowstorm in Urbana during the past week, so got together with some friends to go sledding and make a snowman -- certainly a lovely break from all that studying. One of the hardest things about med school is staying sane, so I'm really thankful for people that care & keep me stable! In med school, had a chance to formally round on my first 'real' patient in the hospital floors -- it was much nicer than I expected, and I had a wonderful time talking to both the patient and his family.
