La Porte City Police found Derik Briskey, 22, parked in his 1989 Dodge Dakota in the 700 block of Michigan Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the police report, Briskey admitted he was trying to drive home from a downtown La Porte bar when he struck a parked car. He said he turned onto Michigan Avenue to assess the damage.
