Sun launch open DRM platform- August 22, 2005 Sun are a bit late to the party here. They have just launched an open source DRM platform to take on the closed formats of Microsoft and Apple. The nice thing about their solution is that it can in theory be used for any format. The problem they will face is how to drive adoption of their solution both among consumers and the content industry.
