Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Additionally, student-athletes in basketball, baseball, softball and tennis must compete in half of their teams contests, while those in swimming & diving and track & field must qualify for the conference finals.http://apps.carleton.edu/athletics/?story_id=427412 Carleton Alum to Compete in 2008 Olympics- June 26, 2008 Carleton alum Philip Dunn 93 will be competing in the 50 km Race Walk at the 29th Olympic Games in Beijing, China, which take place from August 8-24, 2008. This will be Dunns third trip to the Olympics. The dedication ceremony will be held during Carletons Alumni Reunion Weekend activities at 4:15 p.m. on Fri., June 20 at the baseball complex. He is the 11th Carleton student-athlete to receive Academic All-America honors and first since 2005.
