Recipezaar: Breakfast recipesThe newest Recipezaar recipesin:BreakfastJo's Butter Horns- June 17, 2008 These are the real deal! My MIL was an amazing cook! She now has Alzheimers so her recipes (that she wrote down) are now golden! I promise you won't be disapointed with these! -- posted by SecretIngredientshttp://www.recipezaar.com/309680 Low Fat Poppy Seed Muffins (Ww)- June 16, 2008 These are good, just not as moist as I was hoping for. The next time I make them, I'm going to try cutting the sugar back to 12 cup and using a 14 cup of unsweetened apple in place of the 2 Tbls. of butter to see if they would be moister that way. 1 muffin = 3 points as written. With the changes mentioned above, 1 muffin = 2 points. -- posted by Marg (CaymanDesigns)http://www.recipezaar.com/309651 "fronch" Toast- June 16, 2008 This comes from Vegan with a Vengeance by Isa Chandra Moskowitz and tastes just like the real thing. Serve with fresh berries, sliced bananas, and pure maple syrup. -- posted by Panik257http://www.recipezaar.com/309646 Streusel Baked Apples- June 16, 2008 This is a delicious dessert that requires very little effort (anyone can make this!) and is healthier than something like pie or cobbler. Also makes a great treat for breakfast! -- posted by BusyBeeBuzz!http://www.recipezaar.com/309626 Banana Rice Bread (Liberia)- June 16, 2008 From: South of the Sahara: Traditional Cooking from the Lands of West Africa by Elizabeth A. If you are low on one of the first 7 ingredients, add a little more of one of the others. I was trying to make a recipe to rival shop bought granola bars and these are certainly crunchy, tasty and keep well (in the fridge). The nice thing about them is you can add your own favourite things (i.e. different nuts, dried fruit, choc chips) you could even cover them in chocolate if you like. -- posted by Lilywhitehttp://www.recipezaar.com/309557 Triple-Fruit Oatmeal- June 16, 2008 Apples, bananas, and... pomegranate You'll like the ease and sweetness of this very low-fat, satisfying breakfast. -- posted by White Rose Childhttp://www.recipezaar.com/309511 Sweet Mung Beans & Rice- June 16, 2008 I am not a curry fan. So here is another recipe I picked up on JustBeans.com which features legumes as the main ingredient. I find the taste of Mung beans to be appetizing and they are easy to work with (I dont mind the extra fiber from their skins). soaking beans not included in prep time -- posted by Patience 1.0http://www.recipezaar.com/309482 Copycat Bisquick Recipe- June 16, 2008 This works great for biscuits. I haven't tried it yet for pancakes or waffles, but I bet it's good for those, too. Let me know in a review if you try them for pancakes or waffles. -- posted by Sally Sasquatchhttp://www.recipezaar.com/309471 Pumpkin Muffins With Cream Cheese Center- June 16, 2008 I wanted a muffin that included cream cheese that I could make and then freeze so I came up with this recipe. Easy to make and freeze, then take out in the morning before getting ready to allow to defrost. You could also wrap in foil and pop itthem in the oven to warm up or in the microwave (wrapped in papertowel) on defrost level. -- posted by diner524http://www.recipezaar.com/309460 |
