Steve Bohnemeyer and I fished Ballenger last night and got skunked--as did everyone else we talked with. Water temperature was 66-70 degrees so the warmwater fishies should have been active. We fished high, we fished low, we fished fast, we fished slow. Swallows working all over the lake but no rises. Just read a report about Westport salmon fishing in Seattle's other newspaper that floored me. I fished Westport the same day and our boat, the Tequila Too, skippered by Ken Culver, found fish. It wasn't "limits in 45 minutes kind of action," but we had two or three hook-ups at a time more than once.
