Photo BookLet - Bandhavgarh. - June 24, 2008

Of late I have been a wild life enthusiast. Partly due to the company of my friends Victor, Anurag from my department, Sainath & Suhel from CSE & BSBE respectively. The other part stems out of photography for which wildlife is the naturalmost feed. Bandhavgarh is 4th National Park Of India that I visited. In Bharatpur we saw many exotic species of Birds, Crocodiles & Chitals in Dudhwa,Pythons & swamp deers in Kishenpur. The urge to pay a visit to the National Animal at it's own..

Shadow Warrior - June 24, 2008

This is a story of common house sparrow, male. I went to shoot for birds at the backside of type - I when I saw this bird perching precariously on a hook in front of a wall clingling mirror at the security checkpost. I didn't pay much heed to it. A commonplace bird with all the commonalities in the setting. Just parked the cycle & left off. After one & half hours I returned to pick my cycle at the post. This time I again saw the bird at the same place. This time I became a little...

Keeping Minutes - Wasting Hours - June 20, 2008

It's has become trendy here to set up a committee on the aftermath of all sad & untimely demise. These committee(s) are better to be termed as fact suppressing committee, since they esentially does only that, by all means. I gather, that these things are useful tools to tap the resentment & vent it through proper channel so the that the damage control can be as much as it could be. But while acting as a beauty parlour for the administration - delivering a facelift - these bunch of...

A Contraption Termed IITK - June 7, 2008

Like every morning I woke up early at around 0500 hrs today to set out to capture pictures in the morning light. I was going to the airfield by the road beside the wind tunnel. On the left side there is a small house named 'In-Situ Testing Facility' - Geotechnology Branch Civil Engg. There I saw this bird got it's legs wound up by a little plastic thread. It tried very hard to disentangle itself from the contraption but in vein. I framed a few momments in quick succession. Then I set the..

Butterflies - June 4, 2008

One imminent target of my life is to build up a comprehensive campus directory of Butterflies. Since the birding website is already there I am concentrating on that. I am not very much versed with CMS, hence I am using webhost to put up my things. If sombody is interested then heshe can design a page & link it to the homepage. But mostly one should help me with macro shot of these wonderful insects to make the survey comprehensive. If we could make this place a little more habitable with...

Poem - June 2, 2008

When I completed my first year here on this locality my friend & room-mate from previous year presented me with a poem upon arrival of the second year. I now reallize that if it was not for him to soothe a few ruffled feathers of mine, I may have become reason enough to constitute a comittee. He named the poem "Of welcome & Etc.". Since Fall-2002, It is lying with me undisclosed. I feel an urgent need to pass it on so that we can take good care of our pals. When...
