Chris Glover's BlogTODO: write something hereBreak In- September 28, 2007 Late night blog entry, it's unlikely I'm going to be able to sleep for a while. Bed time. It had been a big day of training and I gratefully pulled on my favorite pair of pajama pants and climbed into bed. I was just drifting off when I heard the light switch on in the study. First thought was that Dan had come home, however the voices seemed unfamiliar, and male, and Dan doesn't swing that way. Probably should investigate. My "bedroom" is actually an illegally converted attic hidden behind.http://www.jroller.com/complier/entry/break_in CG-16 days- September 28, 2007 OK, I'm not dead. The flu knocked me around a bit and I was going to pull out, citing softness. I continued to train anyway, but a lot less frequently and a lot easier than before, and didn't tell anyone in the squad (as it might have tipped them over the edge not doing it either) and gradually started to feel better. At some point I was back to two sessions a day and actually enjoying it again, so I figured I may as well have a go. While I haven't gained all of the weight I lost back, and as.http://www.jroller.com/complier/entry/cg_16_days CG-37 days- September 6, 2007 Went to the gym this morning, was a very lazy session, but I can push more or less the same weight as a week ago, so that's good news. Tonight, pool squad, is going to be the real acid test. I wasn't really in the mood to document them yesterday, but Spot offered up some gems of wisdom at training yesterday morning. JM: So are you doing the Gold Chris Spot <interrupting my response>: He's startin' it Spot: Where were you for the 5:30 am run Chriso Me: I've been sick, with the flu,...http://www.jroller.com/complier/entry/cg_37_days CG-38 days- September 5, 2007 I'm still sick. Had an attempt at training this morning and my body was telling me all kinds of things, none of which were good. Finished the session anyway then spent the rest of the day in bed. Feel a bit better now. Word of the day: Floccinaucinihilipilificationhttp://www.jroller.com/complier/entry/cg_38_days CG-39 days- September 4, 2007 Nope, still feel like shit. Might go to ski paddling this afternoon. Word of the day: Irukandji Syndrome Edit: did go ski paddling, it was cold and windy, and I used a dud ski (the Force Field) because I couldn't be bothered loading mine onto the car. I took it very easy, but put in a few sprints for good measure. Yeah, I'll be back to where I was in a week or so. It was a chore today, but that will pass.http://www.jroller.com/complier/entry/cg_39_days CG-40 days- September 2, 2007 I did nothing this morning, but might go to the gym tonight. I'm not rolling into a ball and hugging my legs whenever I think of the race, which is a good sign. Word of the day: Flash Gordonhttp://www.jroller.com/complier/entry/cg_40 CG-41 days- September 1, 2007 Had the flu the last two days, god it hurts. No training for a while yet, and I had to cancel on my first date in about a year yesterday. Probably should start taking my resting pulse in the morning, or just listening to my body, this could have been avoided. Word of the day: Wesnothhttp://www.jroller.com/complier/entry/cg_41_days |
