Thai Barbecued Chicken - May 21, 2008

Another tasty recipe from Thai Cooking & More and this time for the grill. I've slightly modified the original. NOTE - Prep time does NOT include minimum 4 hours marinating time. NOTE 2 - red curry paste and hot chili paste (Sombel Oelek) can be found with the Oriental foods at your local grocer. This is NOT a sweet chili sauce! And red curry paste is not like the powder! -- posted by Beautiful BC

Spicy Thai Cucumber Salad - May 20, 2008

I found this when looking for South Beach Diet friendly receipes and made a few minor changes. It is a treat that must be eaten as soon as you make it though because the mint will overtake the other flavors if you try to make keep it for a longer than a day. You could leave the mint out until ready to serve. For another variation use cilantro instead of mint. -- posted by Chef 493838

Thai Coconut Rice Noodles With Chicken - May 18, 2008

If you like Pad Thai you will love this. If you love Thai curries, you will love this even more. It's not really that spicy, so add chopped Thai chiles if you like it more hot. It makes a ton, so invite a few of your friends over and have a martial arts film fest. Everybody will be so happy. -- posted by Sue L

Vietnamese Glazed Skinny Pork Chops - May 18, 2008

Recipe from Food & Wine, June 2008. This was awesome! Surprisingly sweet yet savory. Worked well as an OAMC dump recipe. Threw it all in a zip lock and froze it then put in frig for a couple days to defrost and marinate. Delicious! I used extremely cheap pork chops and they turned out great. Prep time doesn't include marinating time. -- posted by Aggiezoey

Creamy Filipino Kababayan - May 17, 2008

I put this recipe together a couple of years ago for someone who was desperate to find a recipe for these Filipino pastries. I had only a commercial ingredient list, but these turned out well, like cheesecake-like muffins or cupcakes. I can't be 100% certain if they are exactly like the Filipino versions, but they are delicious in any case. --Sue -- posted by Sue L

Mom's Filipino Chicken Adobo - May 16, 2008

My mother is Filipino, and I have been cooking or helping cook this dish since I've been old enough to reach the counter. I looked at some of the other recipes and mine is significantly different so I'm going to post it. This recipe is great for pretty much any pallet since it's not as tart as the other recipes. I also think the cinammon sticks are a necessity. It made one friend describe it as Cinnamon Toast Crunch chicken, but even the unadventurous eater that guy was, he ate up two...
