Recipezaar: Holiday/Event recipesThe newest Recipezaar recipesin:Holiday/EventOrange Angel Food Cake- July 7, 2008 Found from a TOH e-newsletter submitted by J. Springer. This looks to be right up my alley for a dessert choice in the summer months. I've not personally made this one but do not want to lose the link to the recipe. Some of the cooking time is also time for chilling. -- posted by HokiesLadyhttp://www.recipezaar.com/312633 Delicious Peanut Butter Pie- July 7, 2008 I don't know where I got this recipe but have been making it for years. Everyone requests this for pot lucks, holidays, bake sales. It is very easy and quick to make. Very rich. -- posted by ladyautumnhttp://www.recipezaar.com/312629 Mango Garlic Rib Rub- July 7, 2008 I made this up with a few ingredients that I had in the house and it turned out great. I used country style ribs and grilled it on low. I usually like to slow cook ribs on the grill by placing the meat on one side with the burner off and heating the grill with the side with nothing on it, then browning some at the end. This takes hours and I didn't have time for that this time, but I'm sure it would have been even better. -- posted by Green Cuisinehttp://www.recipezaar.com/312624 Pancake Sammies- July 7, 2008 Beautiful brown, puffy pancakes layers with an egg and sausage mixture; American Cheese and syrup! Perfect for potlucks, parties, and dessert trays. The baking time may vary due to altitude or humidity. Bars are ready when golden brown and toothpick comes out clean when inserted. Layers from bottom up: cookie bar, 1 cup peanut butter, chocolate frosting. Prep and cooking time do not account for cooling time. -- posted by Hadicehttp://www.recipezaar.com/312591 Caramel Swirl Hunks- July 7, 2008 A Passion for Baking by Marcy Goldman -- posted by Heidi in Seattlehttp://www.recipezaar.com/312593 Destruction Bread Dip- July 7, 2008 Throw some fresh veggies on along with the bread pieces skewered with toothpicks for variety. It can be used to make another version of Ruby Tuesday's Buffalo Chicken Wontons(Posted as Buffalo (Chicken) Dip Wontons). This is a quote from the original poster on Chowhound: "This was incredibly good. I took it to a New Years Eve party and we just gobbled it! We think this might make a good pasta sauce, too. Either with a fettuccine or even put in lasagna (with some additions)." -- posted by Nana Leehttp://www.recipezaar.com/312543 Steak Diane- July 7, 2008 This makes a very elegant meal. I first made this for my DH on our first Valentines Day. I love the addition of brandy in the sauce for this recipe. -- posted by mommyoffourhttp://www.recipezaar.com/312536 |
