Tofu Teriyaki Sticks (For the Convection Toaster Oven) - May 28, 2008

I love marinaded organic tofu. To make it taste good, I press my tofu under a brick and that gets rid of most of the water which is necessary so the marinade can be absorbed into the tofu. I find it works best to press the tofu on one side for 20 minutes, then flip it and press again for 15 minutes. You could probably use different types of Sea Veggie Granules in this recipe. I did use some Dulce in mine but Zaar doesn't recognize it, so I just mentioned the Nori in the ingredients and...

Vegetarian Wonton Dumplings - May 28, 2008

This recipe originaltes from the May 1, 2004 issue of Vegetarian Times Magazine. Be careful not to overprocess if you're chopping the ingredients in a food processor. As an alternative to boiling the wontons you could fry them. -- posted by Dreamer in Ontario

The Other Tofu Loaf - May 18, 2008

Minimal preparation, awesome in sandwiches, It's another version of my comfort tofu loaf. I ground the tofu and onion using my meat grinder attachment on my standmixer... but thats because I don't have a food processor at the moment. Serve with mashed potatoes and gravy. Oh and green beans if you are not a vegan Paula Deen. -- posted by Mad Maryno

Quinoa Salad With Baked Marinaded Tofu - May 17, 2008

I have no idea where I found this recipe. I made it because we are trying to eat less meat in our diet and tofu is probably one of the best ways to substitute for it. This was very tasty. I plan to make this again but will experiment with different marinades. I pressed my tofu before using it. To do this I got myself a brick and covered it with tin foil. Then I put the tofu block on a dinner plate and put a rectangular plate on top of the tofu and set the brick on it. I let it sit for 20.

Marinated Teriyaki Tofu - May 16, 2008

This is my take on a recipe from the Whole Foods website. I love this tofu either hot or cold! Preparation time does not include time to marinate. -- posted by SarahBee

Tangy Barbecued Tofu Kabobs - May 14, 2008

I did those once at the restaurant I used to work at. Served it with a saffron rice pilaf. They sold pretty well. Prep ahead, as they need to marinate quite a while. Instead of grilling them, you can broil them in your oven, just moving them from side to side... My trick is to use frozen then thawed tofu, super meatier! At home i serve it with ratatouille (see my ratatouille caviar recipe!) and vegetables cooked in foil (See Mom's Barbecued Boulangère Potatoes recipe) Some of the cooking.

Picante Tofu Scramble - May 12, 2008

I love scrambled tofu and this is a new recipe I'm dying to try. Only slightly modified. Found on Micheff Sisters cooking show titled "Breakfast with Mom." If you use water-packed tofu, make sure to drain it and squeeze the liquid out with paper towels ahead. -- posted by Enjolinfam
