Mama's Famous Hot Salsa - January 23, 2008

This is a fabulous salsa that I have fine-tuned over the years. Careful, though, this recipe makes a lot! The measurements are all estimates ... you can use more or less depending on your tastes. For a really great smoky flavor, I like to grill the pablano and anaheim peppers over charcoal. Also, I like to mix and match different types of chili peppers to add more colorflavor. -- posted by mamabear22

Curried Pineapple and Dried Fig Salsa - January 13, 2008

From the Real Age website. The combination of figs, pineapple, coconut and curry gives this salsa a pleasing sweet and spicy taste that pairs well with full-flavored entrees, such as broiled seafood, pan-seared shrimp, barbecued pork or lamb. -- posted by mkorte33

Green Salsa - January 4, 2008

This is my interpretation of the green sauce I used to love at a dearly departed burrito restaurant. It is a very thin sauce, not a chunky-type salsa, and it is wonderful on burritos, tacos, chips, eggs - just about anything you'd use salsa on, really. Easy to make, too! You can vary the heat by the amount of jalapenos you put in. It is a fairly hot salsa, so if you aren't into really hot stuff you may want to start with just a 14 cup of jalapenos and work your way up from there ;) For some...

Hot, hot, hot! We came up with this a few years ago with the fresh produce out of our garden. If you like hot and spicy salsa, this should do nicely. -- posted by KandB

Fire and Ice Salsa - January 2, 2008

This spicy, yet fruity salsa, makes a great change to the regular tomato-based varieties. You can serve it as a side with just about anything, eat it with tortilla chips or add it to your favorite burrito. -- posted by Converting to vegan
