(It can also be used as a stuffing.) I based it on a few different recipes for brown rice dressing, but think it has an extra richness with the butter and the egg. The seasonings, of course, should be adjusted to your taste! -- posted by Dwynniehttp://www.recipezaar.com/294242 Vegetarian Polish Cabbage Rolls- March 25, 2008 Easy and delicious recipe for cabbage roll. I used brown rice, but any rice will do. Instead of the Korean stir fry sauce you can use oyster sauce, fish sauce, or teriyaki sauce, but likely not soy sauce. I made this as a side dish for salmon. It was easy to cook this on the stove while the salmon was in the oven. -- posted by chels580http://www.recipezaar.com/293048 Morning Rice Bowl- March 19, 2008 I had one cup of brown rice leftover and thought I'd try something new for breakfast. This was very pleasing and different. Great start to the day. Cook time does not include cooking the rice as this is for leftovers or planned overs. -- posted by MsSallyhttp://www.recipezaar.com/292660 Spiced Brown Rice With Peanuts- March 19, 2008 This is a recipe from Gourmet Magazine's October 1990 issue. I cook the rice in chicken stock as it imparts a richer flavour to the dish, however you can use water for a vegetarian version. -- posted by Chef Regina V. Smithhttp://www.recipezaar.com/292476 |
