Alice Rosen's Strudel - January 30, 2008

Posted in a community cookbook by her daughter, Emilie Kaye. It sounds like something my Grandma made only she didn't use coconut or raisins. My Grandma used raspberry jam. She called it a jelly roll (I think). -- posted by Oolala

Lox and Cream Cheese Scrambled Eggs - January 29, 2008

I made up this recipe last week and everyone loved it! It's so fast and easy and probably even tastier with regular cream cheese. I used Jarlsberg but you can use any cheese you like. Good recipe for those following a low-carb diet. -- posted by blucoat

Salmon Gefilte Fish - January 12, 2008

If you live anywhere in the New York area you have probably come across gefilte fish and if you have never had anything but gefilte fish from a jar I really feel bad for you but you can change your ways. LOL! This is delicious but requires a ready-made frozen salmon roll. -- posted by scancan

Irresistible Latkes - January 3, 2008

These are improvised version of the original latkes my mom used to make. They come up crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. Serve them up with apple sauce and sour cream or just salt for a yummy alternative on potatoes. -- posted by Mainewmn
