I finally found something that my picky 2 year old would eat. -- posted by LawyerMomhttp://www.recipezaar.com/300275 Matzo Farfel Stuffing- April 16, 2008 Passover stuffing -- posted by Lionesshttp://www.recipezaar.com/298646 Sweet Noodle Kugel With Marmalade and Preserves- April 16, 2008 From Favorite Recipes of Our First Ladies, 1971. This was provided by Mrs. Marvin Mandel of Maryland. Here for safe keeping. I adapted this slightly for posting purposes. -- posted by Oolalahttp://www.recipezaar.com/298580 Sweet Noodle PuddingKugel (Nut Topping)- April 15, 2008 I like the way this sounds but haven't tried it yet. It's from Marcia Saltzman in Pingry Cooks. It has chopped nuts in the topping which is a bit different from the usual. If making for company, make sure there are no peanut allergies! You need to have this in the refrigerator all day or or night before baking so plan accordingly. -- posted by Oolalahttp://www.recipezaar.com/298511 Kugel Alef- April 14, 2008 As most of you know, I HATE CARROTS, but this recipe hides the carrots and in my mind makes them edible. This is more like a cornbread rather than a noodle kugel, but it is easy to make and delicious, too. -- posted by mandabearshttp://www.recipezaar.com/298293 Chicken Ghiveci (Romanian Braised Chicken)- April 10, 2008 This is a Romanian chicken dish that we love having with either bread or rice. DH would whip up a lot to last us for days so we don't need to cook much and we never get bored with it. Dried spices are used here to speed up preparation time and preparation time here assumes that the chicken has already been cut. -- posted by Pneumahttp://www.recipezaar.com/297592 Guatamalan HarosetCharoset (Passover)- April 2, 2008 I just saw this in the April 2008 Hadassah magazine and thought I'd post it. It's included in an article about some Guatamalans who have embraced Judaism. This recipe was created by Clara de Medina in Guatamala CIty in a competition created by the Rabbi they were studying under from Kansas City, MO. Clara wanted to add something to make it Guatamalan so she put in onion, garlic, cilantro, wine vinegar, olive oil and chiltepe, which is their spicy pepper. -- posted by Oolalahttp://www.recipezaar.com/295897 |
