Bean, Lentil and Tomato Chowder - May 27, 2008

I can't honestly say where this recipe came from...if I had to guess...it would be from the Moosewood series. This is made in the slow cooker. However...I guessed at the cooking times as I didn;t have any written down. -- posted by luvcook'n

Hearty Taco Soup - May 25, 2008

This is a really simple, delicious, very filling soup that my entire family just LOVES. It is easy to make and it freezes very well so I usually double the recipe and have leftovers in my freezer for whenever I get the craving for it. It's pretty dang healthy, too! Just a little spicy but not unbearable- even my 4 year old likes it. -- posted by Melanie2590

Chili - 7 Pepper Spices - May 22, 2008

This is my favorite chili as it has more of a smoke flavor rather than alot of heat. But you can add more heat to your liking with fresh jalepno or long red chili peppers. The chipotle pepper are what gives the smoked flavor so if you enjoy that go with the 1 teaspoon. Substitute dry beans for 1 can kidney beans for time. -- posted by Chef 457852 - bggio

Sparkling Sorbet Floats Petite - May 21, 2008

This 2-ingredient treat is better than the sum of its parts. Depending on the beverage used for these Sparkling Sorbet Floats, this works for adults and kids too. You can make your own carbonated fruit juice simply by combining your favorite juice (cranberry or orange is really tasty) with club soda. Sugar free ingredients work great! -- posted by Annacia

Heart Smart Collard Greens - May 21, 2008

This is an adaptation of a recipe for collards that I found on the back of a package of Nature's Greens... I didn't have a smoked turkey wingham hock or bacon on hand, so this recipe really fit the bill that day! I really like this recipe since it really lets the flavor of the greens shine... they aren't cooked to death and are not overly sweet... which is how we like them. Even though these greens do not have that smokey flavor most of us are used to when eating colloards, these are really.
