Unknownchef86's July 4th Creamy Red, White & Blue Jello - July 2, 2008

What do you get when you combine two Zaar recipes...and give it a twist It would look distinctively something like this. It didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted it, as I wanted only three distinctive layers and wound up with four, and the red and blue are lighter than I wanted, but it was really, really good...so I was willing to look past its faults. I'll still keep experimenting with it, but I thought it would be a good one to post for the 4th of July. Cooking time is chilling time...

Rhubarb CakeSquares - Two Sizes - July 2, 2008

Is it a cake Or are they squares Guess it depends what size pieces you cut! Has a shortbread crust and crumble topping. Two sizes depending on how much rhubarb you have (be careful when reading the ingredient quantities for each to get the corresponding crust and filling). Green Curry - July 2, 2008

This is called green curry because of its color; however, some of its seasonings such as cayenne pepper, hot paprika, black pepper and green chilis can make it red-hot. It's a delicious curry, but one needs to consider how much heat you want and adjust the hot ingredient amounts accordingly. this recipe was adapted from the "vegetarian epicure, book two" by Anna Thomas. -- posted by lynnski LA
