Actually it wasn't so much a fire drill as just the fire alarm going off for no reason. There was some sort of electrical fault that meant they couldn't shut the alarm off, so it was sounding continuously for about an hour. This happened at 11.30am, just a bit early for lunch (my friends and I usually have lunch at 1pm), which was annoying. Maybe that's something you should expect to happen when you can see into a neighbour's bedroom from your own bedroom window, and he doesn't draw his curtains, and it's a really hot night - but I didn't expect it.
