Oh, by the way, the onion will cook inside the burger, mellowing the flavor of the onion and keeping the burger moist. Each pattie is about 14 pound of meat surrounding a 2 inch diameter 14 inch thick slab of onion. Even my kids love these. -- posted by SAM the Nuke :-)http://www.recipezaar.com/301148 Fried Venison (Deer) Steaks- April 27, 2008 This is how I remember eating deer growing up. It is easy and I have never had any issues with a gamey taste. But if you are afraid of that you can soak you deer in milk for about 30 minutes. Great with fried potatoes and a salad. I like mine with steak sauce (57). -- posted by Huskergirlhttp://www.recipezaar.com/300907 Doves or Quail Country Style- April 17, 2008 This is my Cousin Joy's recipe. It was more economical for me to lease a Ranchita across the border than to pay for an expensive apartment on this side. The place I leased was a former hunting and fishing lodge (complete with swimming pool, fine restaurant, etc). I retained the family that lived on the property as caretakers. The wife, Elise, was an excellent cook and we spent many an hour in the kitchen with her showing me.http://www.recipezaar.com/296769 |
