I Love this magazine and have gotten many good recipes from it. You serve this Polenta with Bolognese Sauce.... Yummy -- posted by pollywhttp://www.recipezaar.com/310460 Summer Salad With Quinoa- June 24, 2008 This healthy and refreshing salad is a favorite summer recipe. I use ingredients that I have on-hand and it is very easy to prepare. You could easily substitute with your favorite seasonal veggies in place of those that I used. Great on its own as a side dish or served over mixed greens as a main course salad. -- posted by Katie In Miamihttp://www.recipezaar.com/310413 Qunioa Coconut Explosion- June 24, 2008 A sweet and hearty improvised dinner inspired by ripe plantains and coconut milk. Basically a framework for further experimentation, but this turned out shockingly well. Made this for three along with black beans, and we stuffed ourselves and had leftovers. -- posted by Chef Dinosaurhttp://www.recipezaar.com/310378 Whole Wheat Strawberry Banana Muffins- June 24, 2008 This is a wonderful muffin because it is so heart healthy and low in processed sugar. Kids love it and it is great for them! -- posted by Chef 867422http://www.recipezaar.com/310349 Oat Flour Muffins- June 19, 2008 Another recipe I found online several months ago. I haven't made this one yet, though, so let me know what you think if you make it! It's a pretty basic recipe that could easily have additions made or be doubled, or whatever. Oh, and just a note to those who haven't used oat flour before: you don't have to go out and spend a lot on those tiny packages of oat flour at the store. If you have a blender or food processor and a jar of quick-cooking or old fashioned oats, you can easily make your own.http://www.recipezaar.com/310105 Veggie Oat Burger- June 19, 2008 A recipe gotten from the Micheff Sisters Fathers Day Special" on 3ABN.They say,"These patties are not only good in a sandwich, but they are great for an entrée too. I like to serve them with mashed potatoes and gravy. They are also nice to take on a picnic or put in your lunch, as they taste good hot or cold. They also freeze quite well." -- posted by Sharon123http://www.recipezaar.com/310073 Broccoli & Cornbread Casserole- June 19, 2008 Another longtime family recipe that I got from a friend back in the 80's. Makes a great side dish with poultry. -- posted by Texas Aggie Momhttp://www.recipezaar.com/310070 Lemon and Parsley Couscous- June 18, 2008 something i want to try -- posted by Sonya01http://www.recipezaar.com/309974 Couscous Salad With Feta Cheese and Sun-Dried Tomatoes- June 18, 2008 This light and lovely side dish features tangy flavors mellowed by easy-to-cook couscous. Enjoy !!!! -- posted by Buddybearrhttp://www.recipezaar.com/309894 Oatmeal, Chocolate Chip, and Pecan Cookies- June 18, 2008 From Cooking Light - These easy drop cookies are crisp on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside. Chocolate minichips disperse better in the batter, but you can use regular chips. Directions say to line baking sheets with parchment paper, but I bake mine on a baking stone and they always come out great. After 24 hours or so they become hard, but if you put two cookies in the microwave for about 10 seconds, they're soft, warm, and taste fresh-baked. -- posted by mailbellehttp://www.recipezaar.com/309876 |
