It's delicious with mashed potatoes. A few cooking notes: red wines other than Marsala. can be used. I suggest making the Brown Sauce first, since it's used here as an ingredient for the Mushroom Sauce. However, it can also be used as a stand alone sauce. -- posted by lynnski LAhttp://www.recipezaar.com/300346 Chasen's Mustard Sauce- April 24, 2008 Chasen's Restaurant served this mustard sauce with cold seafood such as their fresh crab salad. -- posted by lynnski LAhttp://www.recipezaar.com/300273 Tillamook Aged Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese- April 24, 2008 I needed to make Mac and Cheese for a lot of people and chose to adapt a recipe I found here to make the sauce. I got rave reviews!!! The sauce freezes like a champ and can be used over cauliflower, broccoli, or to make scalloped potatoes. It could also be a form of Welsh Rarebit or thinned to be an excellent cheddar soup. Please remember this make enough sauce for many dishes. You may cool also and serve later. You may peel. slice and core. If you like the the peel, leave on the slices. I personally leave the peel on. A quick dessert for dinner guests. My DH wouldn't eat the A'nju pears plain, so I came up with this recipe. The alcohol cooks off so this is child friendly. -- posted by Montana Heart Songhttp://www.recipezaar.com/300077 Walla-Walla Onion Casserole- April 21, 2008 Here in Washington state we are lucky to get Walla-Walla onions for a short time and this make a nice busy day casserole.
