Two Can Chili Sauce - March 22, 2008

This is my uncle Gordie's recipe. He was a baker and loved this on his toast. It has a simple list of ingredients, cooks up quickly and makes a manageable size. It is supposed to last quite a while in the fridge but that's never been tested since we eat it up quickly. -- posted by London Linda

Linda's 24 Hour Crock Pot Apple Butter - March 21, 2008

This is very close in flavor to the Apple Butter you can find and roadside stands in Amish Country, in Lancaster PA, very dark and very thick. I have been making apple butter since 1979 and when I adapted it to the crock pot it was lots easier and less messy. Store in the refrigerator in a jar for two weeks or can in half-pints according to your canner instructions. -- posted by Secret Agent

Raspberry Jam With Chambord - March 21, 2008

I am planting raspberries next week so I wanted to save this recipe so when they come in I can make this. The raspberry jam should be complemented with the raspberry liqueur. From Small Bath Canning by Topp and Howard. -- posted by mary winecoff

Green Tomato Chutney - Traditional English Recipe - March 19, 2008

My Mum used to make green tomato chutney many years ago but she lost the recipe. I have spent ages looking for a replacement recipe & this is the closest to what we remember. This recipe is adapted from one on Hidden England. I love this best with cheese sandwiches or a ploughmans salad etc. Time to make doesn't include the 'resting' times given. -- posted by Um Safia

Strawberry Chilli Sauce - March 19, 2008

Original by Sally Wise, ABC Radio, adapted to my tastes. Brilliant with seafood. Posting for safe keeping, as it must be a Tasmanian thing, since Ive searched the net several times looking for a recipe, and this is the only one Ive ever come across -- posted by Chef 321688
