After no luck and recipes gone horribly wrong, I asked the owner of the restaurant. Apparently they get them shipped from China, pre-made. So she had no idea. So I went home and decided to try it myself - WITHOUT help from anyone else. The result - AWESOME! I've managed to get the taste of the ones from the restaurant. And they're SWEET too. -- posted by Mel P.http://www.recipezaar.com/300969 Simple and Elegant Crab Cakes With Aioli- April 25, 2008 Serves 8 as appetizer, 4 as main course - these are truly delish! -- posted by Spit In Souphttp://www.recipezaar.com/300675 Crabby Avocado Wraps- April 25, 2008 These are fast and delish. I have made this on many occassions. Every time I go to a candle party, a jewelry party, or any kind of home retail party, I am asked to bring this... It's warm & cheesy and oh so good. FYI- you can use fresh lump, frozen, or canned crabmeat... You can even substitute with imitation crab meat or shrimp in a pinch... If you want to add a little kick to this, you can stir in red pepper flakes before baking... -- posted by BlondieItalianahttp://www.recipezaar.com/299824 Maryland Crab Cakes- April 20, 2008 Nothing says Bawlmer, Murlin like crab cakes Hon! This is my take on a regional favourite. Based on a Cook's Illustrated recipe I don't pretend these would be considered "authentic" Especially if you use any of the various herbs I suggest. After all. I'm a DamnYankee transplant. However, they are good. -- posted by tonyp063http://www.recipezaar.com/299600 Deviled Soft-Shell Crabs With Dipping Sauce- April 18, 2008 Good Food Magazine, June 1986 -- posted by JackieOhNo!http://www.recipezaar.com/299441 Creole Crab Pie- April 18, 2008 Recipe from The Times-Picayune by Marcelle Benvenu. -- posted by Frenchy Berkhttp://www.recipezaar.com/299422 Garlicky Linguine With Crab, Red Bell Pepper and Pine Nuts- April 18, 2008 Bon Appetite.
